| Founded in 1978, the District of Columbia Hospital Association (DCHA) is a non-profit organization with 18 member hospitals and over 65 Associate Members whose mission is: to represent and advocate for its member hospitals, to provide a forum for hospitals to work together to solve common problems and to achieve common goals, to assist its members to meet community health care needs, and to encourage health services research and education. The Association has been in the forefront of the debate on a wide range of national health issues, and locally, DCHA works closely with government and non-government officials to meet community health needs |
